The 300-year old ‘quirky’ Herriot building on the main cobbled street that runs through Hawes comprises of Herriot’s Guest House, Herriot’s Kitchen and The Herriot Gallery, an ideal location to browse local artwork, enjoy fresh home-made produce, evening meals and if your stay extends to more than one day, relax and become guests of Glenn & Liz.

Herriot’s Guest House is an ideal base for a short stay away, a week exploring the Yorkshire Dales, or a week end break in Hawes, providing bed & breakfast accommodation, with the option of booking an evening meal; guests can also have exclusive use of our dining area for meals.  Herriot’s is fully licensed.

Herriot’s Kitchen serves a selection of home-made snacks, light lunches and refreshments.  The Kitchen can supply meals to cover any dietary requirements; coeliacs are catered for.

The Herriot Gallery houses a constantly changing selection of artwork primarily by local artists, and complements its core body of artwork by regular exhibitions.  The Gallery also offers art courses.
